Minimum Age: 8 years old

Swimming Ability: None – just comfort in water, parental approval required x

Max Depth: Pool depth only (shallow, confined water)

Certification Earned: PADI Seal Team Member (completion recognition, not a scuba certification)

Duration: Multiple sessions

Skills learned in Seal Team may count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when the child turns 10 and is old enough to enroll

Part 1: AquaMissions 1–5 (Core Skills)

  • Breathing underwater with scuba gear
  • Clearing water from a mask
  • Recovering a regulator that falls out of the mouth
  • Swimming while feeling weightless (buoyancy basics)
  • Basic safety and equipment familiarization

After completing these missions, participants become recognized PADI Seal Team Members.

Part Two: Specialty AquaMissions (5 missions)

  • Underwater Photography
  • Navigation
  • Environmental Awareness
  • Search & Recovery
  • Buoyancy Specialist
  • Creature Identification

Completing all specialty AquaMissions earns the title PADI Master Seal Team Member.
